Conceived and created primarily for mixed drinks, there are many blended whiskies worth exploring.

From time to time I and my tasters will offer reviews of blended Scotch and Irish whisky, as well other whiskies made in similar styles.

Most of these are a combination single malt whisky and grain whisky, typically made from corn or wheat. The non-grain component in Irish whiskey is almost always a combination of malted and non-malted barely known as single pot still whisky.
