The Master List of Single Malt Whisky Reviews
One Man’s Malt was conceived for the purpose of providing unusually in-depth whisky reviews. Over the years various people have requested that I apply my reviewing style, developed for high-end acoustic guitars and other accoutrements of the refined leisure purists of the civilized man, to the world of whisky.
Since most drinkers are used to short, down and dirty tasting notes, the majority of reviews on this site will be similar in length than those found elsewhere. Only the feature reviews shall endeavor to immerse the reader into the depths of the world’s great whiskies, which many people will never get to experience in person. And at times I will subject new expressions just hitting the market to a more discerning and critical expose.
Some of the whisky featured on One Man’s Malt was explored by members of the Men of Malt, now numbering 9 persons. Wide and varied backgrounds and occupations, from a cellphone salesman, to an Oscar winner, to a former editor of the OED, they all have in common a passion for “great malt” and other spirits.
Many reviews are finished and in my files, and will be added as time allows. Please feel free to contact me if there is a particular expression you would like reviewed, or featured in a longer expose.
